Remember my good intentions of using INKtober to work on my nib pen inking skills? Well, this is what happened to those.
Hint: don’t forget your pen nibs in a jar with a little water left inside. Unless they’re made of stainless steel. Mine was not.
I just saw that filthyfigments has open submissions right now and I’m sososo tempted to work out a proposal for a derby short story, because I only have like a million other things to do for the next month(s).
I don’t know. Do you think derby-related comic porn is what the world needs? Are people ready?
Today’s INKtober sketch is brought to you by my very much beloved little sister who sent me this wonderful plush bean (I guess you could call it a pillow but that doesn’t sound cute enough to do it justice). More precisely, it’s a “Styrian beetle bean” (direct translation, some googling suggests the correct English term might be “scarlet runner bean”, maybe?). They are the most beautiful among all beans and they are very typical for the place where I grew up and it is from my sister and it means so much to me, THANK YOU, SWEETIE, I LOVE IT!! ♡
Gonna go cuddle up in bed with my plush bean now and look at pretty typography and finally sleep a humane amount of hours (because this is my Hot & Glamourous Berlin Party Nightlife).
Little lies for INKtober.
Gotta do my homework now which involves type. But, sadly, not the illustrated kind, which I wish I was better at.
The good part of being 100% sleep deprived is that I can enjoy a cup of coffee at 10pm without impairment of my ability to fall asleep as soon as I hit the bed whatsoever. It’s almost like a superpower, sort of.
Today’s INKtober sketch is a subtle expression of gratitude.
So, yeah. THANK YOU, GORFU, FOR SENDING ME THE BEST SOUVENIRS!!!! Getting cute kitty bags filled with superawesome stationery kitsch from Korea definitely helps a lot with getting over canceled vacation sadness. I LOVE YOU!! ♡♡♡
INKtober #12 is… an anatomically challenged fox.
Found this on my table last week when I got home real late from work. I have the best mum.
(Sorry Mum, we didn’t see each other much this time you were in town. Love you! ❤ )
The only natural continuation after yesterday’s Maps fanart: INKtober #11 is Olive! She strikes me as the kind of person who likes sandwiches just because she can easily eat them while reading.
I’m a little shocked that there isn’t so much more Gotham Academy fanart around yet. I just don’t — understand? Karl Kerschl's art in GA is amazing!
